The herd share is a one-time non-refundable payment that gives you part ownership of the dairy herd. You will still be responsible for monthly boarding fees determined by how many shares you purchase and outlined in the signed herd share agreement that will be emailed upon purchase of your herd share.

We utilize a glass bottle return program in which we provide the glass jars and non-spill lids. We ask that jars be returned clean with each pickup and we sanitize and clean every jar with a natural base cleaning powder.

We operate as a micro dairy milking between 5-10 cows/day. This ensures we are giving our cows and milk the detailed attention they deserve and safest standards for raw milk production.

We raise only A2/A2 Guernsey cows + our original A2/A2 Jersey cow April.

Raw milk is NOT eligible for shipping or local delivery. It must be picked up from the farm market. If you checkout selecting another option you will be refunded the purchase price less $5 to cover processing fees.

A diversity of grasses is their primary diet. Now, we are in Ohio so that will change during parts of the year. Dairy cows don’t do well in snow and ice like the beef cows so they need some extra TLC and access to the barn in the winter. During the winter they get hay, alfalfa, hay silage. They do get a non gmo, soy-free feed at milking to meet their metabolic needs. It’s packed with their minerals to keep them metabolically healthy.

They have access to lush grass pasture all day and night. Josh calls for them in the morning and they come into the barn to milk then back outside. If you stop by the farm and see them loafing in the barn thats typically by their choice. In the winter time when there is snow and ice we will make judgement calls to leave them in a nice well bedded barn to keep them safe from slipping and falling.

Nope. We don’t need to use anything on our pastures. We let the cows do the work on controlling weeds. In the summer we’ve used essential oil fly spray to keep them comfortable depending on the season. If we need to treat with antibiotics such as for mastitis we follow proper withdrawal and send off milk for testing before returning to our herd share.

We have a dish washer dedicated only for jar washing.

Dish washing detergent is from Lovett Sundries. Ingredients: sodium carbonate (washing soda), sodium tetraborate (borax), sodium chloride (sea salt), and citric acid (citric acid).

Yes. We do ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We don’t over sell shares or milk to make sure that we are meeting our customers needs.

Some people state that raw milk doesn't go bad. But a jar will typically last 14 days before you may start noticing a difference in flavor profiles. We've personally had jars that taste the same even 21 days later.

Not at this time but you can make butter and scoop the cream off your milk at home.
